Permission sets

Create named bundles of module access and assign them to members.

A permission set is a named bundle of access — for example, a "Tech Team" set that grants working access to Projects and Slides but nothing else. You create a set once and assign it to as many members as you like, so access stays consistent and easy to manage.

How permission sets work

A set grants access to specific modules — such as Sermons, Projects, Purchase requests, and Slides — and for each one you choose a level:

  • None — no access; the module is hidden.
  • Access — can view and work within the module.
  • Manager — full control of the module, including settings others can't change.

Create a permission set

Open Organization settings → Permission sets.
Create a set and give it a clear name (for example, "Tech Team" or "Campus Pastor").
Set the level for each module — None, Access, or Manager.
Save the set.

Assign it to members

Assign a set from a member's detail page under Members, or at the moment you invite them. A member can hold more than one set; where sets and their role overlap, the most permissive level applies.

Permission sets control access to organization features. They never expose a person's private vault.
