Insights

See material worth adding to a sermon — and what to avoid repeating for this audience.

The Insights action — the lightbulb on the canvas' right edge — opens a drawer of suggestions and warnings tailored to the sermon you're working on. It helps you find relevant material you already have and avoid repeating yourself in front of the same audience.

Insights only ever surfaces and arranges things that already exist in your vault and history. It does not write sermon content for you — the words are always yours.

Open Insights

Open the sermon on the canvas.
Select the Insights button (the lightbulb) on the right edge.
Switch between the Suggested and Avoid tabs in the drawer.

The Insights drawer open on the Suggested tab — Passages, Stories, and Teaching concepts.

Suggested

The Suggested tab surfaces material that tends to go together with what's already in your sermon — based on your tagged passages, themes, and the items you've used. It's grouped into:

  • Passages — scripture that commonly appears alongside what you're covering.
  • Stories — illustrations from your vault that fit.
  • Teaching concepts — related concepts you've captured before.

Insert anything that fits straight onto the canvas.

Avoid

The Avoid tab warns you about material you've recently used with this audience — so you don't tell the same story to the same congregation two months running. It's grouped into:

  • Stories told here recently
  • Concepts taught here recently

This is driven by the venue the sermon is scheduled at, so set the sermon's schedule to get the most useful warnings.
