Create a sermon

Prepare and manage an individual sermon, on its own or as part of a series.

A sermon is a single teaching you prepare and deliver. Each one opens on its own canvas, where you build it out of blocks. You can create a sermon on its own or as one week of a series.

Create a sermon

Open Sermons and start a new sermon — or open a week inside a series.
Give it a title. The sermon opens on the canvas, ready to build.
Add your introduction, points, scripture, stories, and applications as blocks.

A new sermon opening on the canvas, ready for its first block.

Set the details

Open the Settings tab to manage everything about the sermon that isn't its content — its series, key passage, source, and schedule. See Sermon settings for the full list of fields.

Track its status

Every sermon moves through a simple workflow so you and your team always know where it stands:

Draft → Review → Finalized → Delivered → Archived

A status change can also kick off an automation — for example, creating a task for your tech team the moment a sermon hits Review.

Need to reuse a past sermon? Copying one brings its content over as a fresh draft, and the new copy links back to the original so you can see where it came from.
